Sprint king USAIN BOLT has revealed that he wants to pursue a second
sporting career as a footballer.
The
twenty four year old first wants to set a one hundred metre record of nine
point four seconds , something he says will probably never be beaten.
Then
the Jamaican says he will turn his attention to the beautiful game in about
four year's time.
BOLT
who said he could play a defensive or attacking midfielder believes he has what
it takes to make a name for himself on the pitch.

Super
Eagles striker, OBAFEMI MARTINS was voted man of the match in yesterday’s
nation’s cup qualifier against Mozambique in Calabar.
He
got a reward of three thousand dollars for his efforts.
MARTINS
who scored the first goal and set up MICHAEL ENERAMO for the second, said he
was happy to have won the MVP award.
The
Super Eagles won that match two nil.

Torrential
rains from a tropical depression caused landslides that have killed at least
thirty eight people in Guatemala.
Some
of those killed were rescuers trying to save people already buried under a wall
of mud.
Guatemala’s
President, ALVARO COLON after visiting the area declared today a national day
of mourning.
After
an international outcry, Iranian officials temporarily halted Ms ASHTIANI's
stoning sentence in July but campaigners fear she could still be hanged.

The Vatican has said it would appeal diplomatically to
Iran to spare the life of an Iranian woman sentenced to death by stoning for
adultery.
The
statement followed a plea for help from the son of the woman, SAKINEH MOHAMMADI
ASHTIANI.
The
Vatican, through its spokesman, FEDERICO LOMBARDI said it was following the
ASHTIANI affair with attention and commitment.
After
an international outcry, Iranian officials temporarily halted Ms ASHTIANI's
stoning sentence in July but campaigners fear she could still be hanged.

Two
boats capsized at the weekend in separate incidents on Congo’s vast rivers,
leaving seventy people dead and two hundred and ten others injured.
Both
vessels were heavily loaded and operating with few safety measures.
Officials
are now investigating one of the boats travelling through the darkness without
light.
Boat
accidents in Congo are some of the worst the world has seen.
